Have you ever wanted to share your skills with others? Change the world using the technology you so love? Find meaning in your work past making deadlines or profit margins? Here is your chance to make a difference in the developing world with your current technology skills!
Do you have five or more years experience in technology, or the business of technology? Would you be willing to work with people and innovate with minimal technical equipment in a developing country? Able, at some point in the future, to commit to four months, working on multiple projects and teaching small groups in a hands-on setting?
If so, then register now to be considered for a future Geekcorps assignment — an amazing and rewarding experience.
Do note that registering with Geekcorps does not mean that you’ll be selected soon, if ever. You have to register to be considered for a Geekcorps assignment, but usually it’s a while — months or even a year — before we might contact you about an assignment. We’re always looking for the perfect volunteer-assignment match as Geekcorps expands its programs all over this beautiful world, matches that we’ll not be able to make unless you register.
Before you begin, please
- Read through our volunteering FAQ
- Have a current resume or CV handy, so you can copy and paste it into the form; it’s required
- Enter an email address that will remain valid indefinitely; we suggest you do not enter your current work email, but a personal one you check regularly
Once you are ready, click here to register with Geekcorps. After you register, and we process it, you will receive a confirmation email. If you have any questions, please read our volunteering FAQ and if you’re still wondering, email us at geekcorps [at] iesc.org.
